He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carolus and Anna Carolus (Harms); his wife Grace Alice Lageschulte; his brother Claire Carolus; his great grandchild Coltin Carolus; and his daughter-in-law Joanne Carolus.
He is survived by: his sons, Gordon Carolus (Dianne Nagen) of Waverly and Duane Carolus (Martha) of Bellevue, Neb; and his sisters, Laura Devries of Ackley, Iowa. and Joanne Gronewold of Ackley, Iowa.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
