He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Zelle and Emma Zelle (Mueller); his brothers, Marvin and Lester Zelle; and his sisters-in-law, Frances and Marie Zelle.
He is survived by: his wife Verona Zelle of Waverly, Iowa; and his children, Jennifer Wipperman of Waverly, Nathan Zelle (Mae Jean) of Mt. Horeb, Kenton Zelle (Cynthia) of Hudson and Nadine Zelle (Jon Schmidt) of Chicago, Illinois. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School or Wartburg Theological Seminary.
