He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Hartnett and Helen Hartnett (Hanrahan); his former wife Janet Joy Hoffman; his wife Pamela Yvonne Davis; his brothers, Tom and Darwin Hartnett; and his daughter-in-law Karin Hartnett.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Hartnett (Jackie) of Waverly, Mark Hartnett (Denise) of Williamsburg, Tim Hartnett of Ankeny, Kevin Hartnett (Jenny) of Ankeny, Jason Davis (Amy) of Robins and Jody Anderson of Marion, Iowa; his son-in-law Joel Anderson of Marion; and his sisters-in-law, Edna Hartnett of Webster City and Judy Hartnett of Webster City. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, St. Mary Catholic Church in Waverly, or St. Patrick Catholic Church in Clear Lake.
