He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Dickman and Mary Dickman (Gill); and his brother David Dickman. He is survived by: his friend John; his wife Karen Mantin of Waverly; his children, Lori Axdahl (Bob) of Nora Springs, Iowa, David Dickman (Wendy) of Savage and Joel Dickman (Sarah) of Raleigh; his siblings, Deborah Anderson (Steven) of Waukee, Iowa and Dwight Dickman (Darlys) of Eldridge, Iowa; his grandchildren, Melissa Timmermans (Ross), Meganne McCubbin (Scott), Matthew Dickman, Danica Dickman, Luke Lutz, Olivia Lutz and Kara Axdahl; his stepgrandchildren, Brad Axdahl (Brianne) and Ashley Wilkens (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Isla, Ivy Timmermans and Andrew McCubbin; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kannon, Maddox, Autumn Axdahl, Holden and Adeline Wilkens.
