He was predeceased by: his parents, Merwin Burman and Jean Burman (Poorman). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jones; his children, David Jr. (Jen), Scott (Jan), Heide Hakes (Joel), Darcy Witt (Ryan) and Traci Pautz (Darren); his grandchildren, Andrew (Alyssa), David III (Janelle), Derek, Jacob, Langdon, Lydia, Kate, Mackenzie, Tessa, Asa, Bailey, Carly, Kennedy, Eden, Jack and Jude; and his siblings, Faith Sanchez, Don, Dick, Bonnie Taylor and Judy Parmerlee.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home (1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm). A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions to be made in David's name to Berean Baptist Church, 2 Holcomb Ln, New Castle, DE 19720.
