He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene Rittgers and Marvel Rittgers (Coffin); his wife Carolyn Pfeifle of Waverly; his children, Brian Greene (Ashley) of Fort Lupton, Colorado and Heidi Burkett (Chris) of Waukee, Iowa; his grandchildren, Nora, Clark and Sloan; and his siblings, Delaine Schillie (Bob) of Waverly and Del Rittgers (Chris).
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home (218 2nd St SE, Waverly, IA 50677). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the North Cedar Church of the Nazarene (1210 W Lone Tree Rd, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
