Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Cecilia Jo Nicolaus (Waverly, Iowa), born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 73, on June 30, 2022. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Latting and Mildred Christensen (Hillesheim); and her brother Roger Latting. She is survived by: her sons, Kerry (Erin) of Gig Harbor, WA, Mike (Yogi) of Dunkerton and Tony; her husband Ronnie Nicolaus; and her siblings, Sue Latting of Cedar Rapids, Sandy Latting of Waterloo, Ronnie Latting of Waterloo and Christopher Hillesheim of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
She fought bravely with congenital heart disease for the last nine months, before finally succumbing to COVID in her weakened condition.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Nicolaus family for a later designation in Cecilia's name to the Emergency Services Team at the Waverly Health Center.
