It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Elizabeth Johansen (Waverly, Iowa), who passed away on March 11, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Farr and Lois Farr (Rigsbee); her parents-in-law, Carl and Bernice Johansen; and her brother-in-law Lyle Johansen.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Johansen; her children, Bradley (Trisha Johansen), Eric (Kassandra Johansen) and Pamela (Travis Seehase); and her great grandchildren, Tory, Cassie Johansen, Madi, Sam, Imogene Johansen-Wettach, Hunter, Madison, Veronica Johansen, Holt, Molly, Kinley Johansen, Elizabeth, DeVante, Tatum Allen-Krueger, Dillon, Rosie, Sofia Johansen, Elias, Hannah Seehase, Clay Johansen and Laura Seehase. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

“Betty will be greatly missed. I first met her in 1979. She was smart ad hard-working. She was experienced and reliable. She was spirited-filled and a major volunteer in her church and her community. She was married to Richard for over 50 years and was SO proud of her 3 children and their spouses. She talked often of her extended family too. Betty and I spoke by phone just a few days ago. I am sad it will be our final earthly conversation. Rest in peace Betty. David E. "Dave" Beery”
