He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Albert and Clara Anna Hesse (Snitker); his wife Shirley Gladys Adney; his sons, Regi and Dennis Hesse; his siblings, Orville, Roger Hesse, Marian Straate and Ruby Teslow; and his stepmother Mildred Hesse.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Clark (David) of Tijeras, NM and Brad Hesse (Joy) of Alleman, IA; his granddaughters, Hannah and Haley Hesse; and his sister-in-law LaVonne Hesse of Waukon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
