He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrin, Sr. Grangaard and Ruth Grangaard (Johnson); his sister Norma Nelson (Ralph); and his brother-in-law Reverend. He is survived by: his sons, Robert (Nita) of Waterville, John (Shelly) of Waukon and Peter (Katy) of Waukon; his grandchildren, Carly O'Neill (Brandon), Taylor, Gunnar Grangaard, Betsy Benjegerdes (Brent), Ben Grangaard (Brooklyn), Jacob and Emily Grangaard; his great grandchildren, Maren, Blaire, Hank O'Neill and Gus Benjegerdes; his sisters, Marilyn Preus of St. Paul, MN and Rosalie Grosch (Ken) of St. Paul, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Anderson (Stan) of Florida and Tom Gronna of Decorah. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Veterans Memorial Hospital or St. John's Lutheran Church, both in Waukon, or to Gundersen Tweeten Care Center in Spring Grove.
