It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Svendson (Waukon, Iowa), who passed away on December 26, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norma Svendson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Wurtzel and Inga Wurtzel (Pladsen); her husband Morris Arthur Svendson; and her siblings, Inez Osland (Oliver), Ramona Peterson (Clarence) and Truman Wurtzel (Donna).
She is survived by: her sons, Ray (Linda) of Pleasant Hill, IA and David of Olmsted Falls, OH; her grandson Chad (Candace) of Waukee, IA; her great grandchildren, Jace, Bain and Mali; her granddaughter Kara Lindsey (Brandon) of Pleasant Hill, IA; and her great grandchild Sven. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church or to Veterans Memorial Hospital, both in Waukon.
