She was predeceased by: her parents, James Plein and LaVern Plein (O'Donnell); her brother Bernard Plein; and her niece Amanda Plein. She is survived by: her husband Lyle Mahoney of Waukon; her children, Shane Mahoney (Jennifer) of Ossian, IA, Shannon Gronemann (Rob) of Minneapolis, MN and Matt Mahoney (Katie) of Mendota Heights, MN; her grandchildren, Molly, Libby Mahoney, Hannah Thuente and Drew Richards; and her siblings, Richard (Cecilia Regan), Ralph Plein (Marie), Diane Plein and Theresa Wang (Neal). She is also survived by her children away at college, her grandchildren in Minnesota, to friends and relatives.
