With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marian Shafer of Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on December 24, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Koenig and Emma Koenig (Schroeder); her husband Ray Shafer; her siblings, Charlotte Henning, Chrystal Longerbeam, Orville and Merlin Koenig; and her nephews, Mark and Randy Koenig.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Rae Sarelson (Mike) of Clifton, VA; her granddaughters, Lisa Evans (Mike) and Lori Sarelson (Chris Reed); her great grandchildren, Kyla, Max, Brandon and Cara; and her sister-in-law Pat Koenig. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
