It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Elaine Halverson (Waukon, Iowa), who passed away on February 12, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Iverson and Elsie Iverson (Helgeson); her husband Harold Paul Halverson; and her sons, Eric Albert Halverson and Wayne Martin Halverson.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Halverson of Ogden, UT, Cindy Butikofer (Scott) of Cresco, IA, Margie Sommers (Leo Heaton) of Prophetstown, IL, Mary Jo Meyer (Russ) of Waukon and Mark Halverson (Robin) of Frisco, TX; her grandchildren, Ashley, Bryan, Matthew Halverson, Tina Brown, Aaron Butikofer (Cindy), Bailey Benson (Tharin), Nathan Meyer, Eric "Ryker" and Atlee Laine Halverson; her great grandchildren, Emmalee Thompson (Jordan), Lawson, Aiden Brown, Cole, Kyra, Carver Butikofer, Henley and Soren Elaine Benson; her great great grandchild Cayson Thompson; her siblings-in-law, Helen Beatty of Viroqua, WI, Mary Jane Yearous of Rome, GA and Rollie Halverson (Mayda) of Cottage Grove, WI; and her sisters, Gladys Molldrem, Alice Olson, Nora Olson, Evelyn Hoffland and Stella Wee. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
