Marcella E. Opfer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marcella E. Opfer of Waukon, Iowa, born in Decorah, Iowa, who passed away on July 25, 2020 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Moen and Anna Moen (Lotvedt); her husband Edward "Jim"; her children, Robert Opfer and Brenda Turteltaub; her grandson-in-law Merlin Gesing; and her great grandchild Ethan Gesing.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheryl Prestemon (John) of Waukon and Linda Beck (Jerry) of New Port Richey, FL; her daughter-in-law Cynda Opfer of Prairie; and her grandchildren, Becky Gesing of Waukon, Brad Prestemon (Kari) of Northfield, MN, Shari Prestemon of Eden Prairie, MN and Troy Beck (Kim) of Land. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Good Samaritan Society in Waukon, Zalmona Presbyterian Church, or Zalmona Cemetery.
