He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Dee and Georgia Dee (Beisker); his son-in-law Marty Melcher; his siblings, David, Gary Dee and Jennie Nord; his nephew Harold "Bub" Dee; and his stepfather Jim Riehm.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Siverly of Waukon; his children, Lisa Melcher of Waukon, Ned Dee of Waterville and Lacey Nagel of Waukon; his grandchildren, Cathy Buhl (Jon), Ryan Melcher, Laura Melcher (Raven), Angela Reyes (Benny), Jordan Dee (Peyton) and Ali Nagel; his great grandchildren, Connor, Cameron Buhl, Aliyah, Pedro Reyes and Blakley Dee; his brothers, Randy (Jacque) and Ronnie Riehm (Deb); and his grandsons, Jim Christianson, Gordon Ellingson, Dick Hermanson, Lyle Moose and Ray Wacker.
