She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Nelson and Lenora Nelson (Tangen); her sister Carol Stoen; her parents-in-law, Alvin and Julia Thune; her siblings-in-law, Esther Griebel (Stanley) and Dean Thune; and her nephew Eric Thune.
She is survived by: her husband Chester S. Thune of Waukon; her daughters, Julie Inglett (Dayl) of Ames, IA, Renee Smock (Michael) of Decorah, IA, Shelly Boatwright (Rick) of Ankeny, IA, Debra Arp (Edward) of Cumming, IA and Jodi Burke (Joseph); her grandchildren, Patrick Inglett (Erika), Nicholas Inglett, Stephanie Erb (Pat), Justin Smock (Deanna), Erin (Cid), Corey Smock (Erin), Colin Boatwright (Celia), Lisa Funk (Josh), Ashley Rehm (Derek), Lindsey Hartogh (Alex), Brandon Arp, Hannah and Ellie Burke; her great grandchildren, Memphis, Greyson, Malachi Inglett, Hunter, Brooklyn Erb, Owen, Isaac Smock, Avery, Abigail, Cid, Emmitt Smock, Leah, Jaxon Funk and Russell Rehm; and her siblings-in-law, Darrel Stoen and Helen Thune. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
