She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Kugel and Esther Kugel (Hermeier); her husband Egbert J. Ewing; her siblings, Donald, Eldo (Marjorie), Roger Kugel (Mary Ann), Ruth Cooper (Hubert) and Marjorie Winter (Calvin); and her brother-in-law Herman Oakland.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Ewing of Guttenberg, IA, Esther Scheckel of Luana, IA and Ann Burckart (Pat) of Waukon; her grandchildren, Daniel Van Wey of Luana, Kimberlee Burckart (Rob Stockman) of LeRoy, MN, Jennifer Burckart (Eric Johnson) of La Crosse, WI and Michael Burckart of Fort Dodge, IA; her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Natalie Stockman; her sister Ileta Oakland of Waukon; and her sister-in-law Barb Kugel of Lansing, MI. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
