It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavilla Onsager Postville Iowa (Waukon, Iowa), who passed away on April 23, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Gordon and Emma Gordon (Wander); her husbands, Oliver Rowland and Marvin Onsager; and her stepdaughter Barbara Johnson (Ray).
She is survived by: her sons, Everett Rowland (Vicki) of Clermont, James Rowland (Elvira) of Postville and David Rowland (Peggy) of Merritt Island, Florida; her grandchildren, Angelisa Belden (Mike) of Des Moines, Brandon Rowland (Kara) of Arvada, Kathy Rowland Scheppmann of Rochester, Lee John Rowland of Washington, DC, Matthew Rowland of Denver, Colorado, Hailey Scheppmann, Nolan, Grace Belden and Opal Rowland; and her stepchildren, Marylou Sorum (Dave) of Waukon, Iowa and Mike Onsager of Decorah, Iowa. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cousin, nephews, nieces and relatives.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Postville Good Samaritan Society, Meals on Wheels, Postville Presbyterian Community Church and Postville Fire Department.
