He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd West and Ruth West (Taylor); his siblings, Jerry, Lila and Darlene; and his brother-in-law Ron Jahnke.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Jahnke; his son Alan of San Francisco, CA; his sisters, Jackie Jensen of Avoca, IA and Linda Jensen of Council Bluffs, IA; and his sister-in-law Linda Jahnke of Lewis, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
