Joyce Hanson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Hanson of Waukon, Iowa, born in Union, Iowa, who passed away on October 22, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Snitker and Esther Snitker (Sanderman); her husband Arden Irvin Hanson; her granddaughter Tara Lodge; her son-in-law Brad Krambeer; and her brother Howard Snitker (Viola).
She is survived by: her children, Karen Regan (Bill) of Lansing, IA, Beverly Krambeer of Waukon, Steven Hanson (Pat) of Johnston, IA, Dave Hanson (Barb) of Waukon, Deb Lodge (Bart) of Clarksville, IA and Lisa Kelm (Jeff) of Clarksville, IA; her grandchildren, Kayla Vance (Trevor), Kristy Anderson (Adam), Patrick Hanson, Bo Lodge (Krista), Brooke Lodge (Nile Lineau), Michael Krambeer (Amanda), Carmen Kelm, Carly Trausch, Carissa Dugger (Nick) and Carter Kelm (Taylor); and her sister Phyllis Quandahl (Ozzie) of Waukon. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Old West Paint Creek Lutheran Church (1306 Maud Rd, Waukon, IA 52172). A memorial service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Old West Paint Creek general fund.
