He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Stammeyer and Magdalena Stammeyer (Klemmer); his wife Carol Ehde; his siblings, Leander, Donald, Richard, Florian, Peter, Margaret, Irene and Marie; and his parents-in-law, Cletus Herold, Jim Riffle, Bill Schaufenbuel, Rose, Lou, Margarete and Marian.
He is survived by: his children, Joey, Joseph Jr. Stammeyer (Jennie) of Onalaska, WI, Lacey Steiber (Daric) of Waukon and Ross Stammeyer (Leah) of Waukon; his grandchildren, Makenzie, Micah, Alaynie, Novaleigh Stammeyer, Colton, Sutton Steiber, Josiah, Charlotte and Eli Stammeyer; his siblings, Frank Stammeyer, David Stammeyer (Jackie) and Anita Herold; and his sister-in-law Cindy Stammeyer.
