It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Marie Lydon of Waukon, Iowa, born in Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on June 2, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Slifka and Dorothy Slifka (Kratz); her husband Thomas Edward Lydon; her brothers-in-law, Don Sevart and Bob Lydon; and her granddaughters, Elizabeth Faith Thies and Chantel Marie Snitker.
She is survived by: her children, John Lydon (Shelly) of Waukon, Jean Ann Oden (Mike) of Greensboro, NC, Mary Meyer (Don) of Waukon, Judy Thies (Todd) of Robins, IA, Barb Byrnes (Jimmie Johnson) of Harpers Ferry, IA, Nancy Snitker (Jon) of Waukon and Lisa Lydon of Phoenix, AZ; her siblings, Judy Wolfe (Vic) and Jeff Slifka (DeeDee); and her sister-in-law Sherry Biegacki (Wally). She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews; neighbors, and friends.
