With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane Miene of Waukon, Iowa, born in Postville, Iowa, who passed away on April 23, 2022 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Shafer and Eunice Shafer (Kruger); her significant other Wayne Ruroden; and her aunt Norma Kruger (Shafer). She is survived by: her children, Vickie Miene of Iowa City, IA, Scott Miene (Maria) of Waukon and Karrie Zidlicky (Don) of Lansing, IA; her grandsons, Colin Zidlicky (Jeff Holt), Cody Zidlicky (Cassey Urell) and Carter Zidlicky (Jaydon Snitker); her sister Sandy Fish (Wayne) of Waukon; her great grandchildren, Ben Miene, Davis and Anderson Unsen; her nieces, Debra Palmer (Mark) and Wanda Brown (Dan); and her pet Penny. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
