James Peter McCormick Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Peter McCormick of Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on May 15, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. and Mary J. McCormick (Burke); his former wife Theresa Schwartzhoff; his daughters, Lora Frana (Ron) and Julie Christensen; his brother John Joe McCormick (Jeanette); his brothers-in-law, Frank Schulte and Thomas Dorn; his stepchildren, Jane Reynolds and Jim Bob Booher; and his stepson-in-law Buddy Reynolds.

He is survived by: his son Kevin of Waukon; his wife Karen Booher of Waukon; his daughters, Carrie Beneke of Waverly, IA and Mary Kobliska (Joe) of Waverly, IA; his son-in-law Thomas Christensen of Waukon; his sisters, Rita Schulte of Dorchester and Marlene Dorn of Weatherford, TX; and his stepchildren, Tom Booher (Kathy) of Urbana, Dan Booher (Jessie) of Anamosa, Rick Booher (Cammie) of Marion, Rob Booher of Marion, Cindy Foster (Larry) of Missouri, Susie Reynolds of Marion, Julie Reid (Jeff) of Texas, Penny Koerperick (Clint) of Marion and Laurie Stribling (Jon) of Marion. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

He also donated 15 gallons of blood to the blood bank throughout his life.
