She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Kugel and Esther Kugel (Hermeier); her husband Herman Oakland; her siblings, Ruth Cooper (Hubert), Donald, Eldo (Marjorie), Roger Kugel (Mary), Marjorie Winter (Calvin) and LaVonne Ewing (Egbert); and her siblings-in-law, Marie Decker (Carl) and Lloyd Oakland.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Oakland of Waukon and Donald Oakland (Sarah) of Waukon; her grandchildren, Emma Oakland (Dakota Gies) and Wade Oakland; and her siblings-in-law, Kermit Oakland (Linda) of Ossian, IA, Gordon Oakland (Marlys) of Ossian, IA and Pat Oakland of Castalia, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
