He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Andersen and Wilma Erika Jackson (Tolander); his wife Sharon Kay Johnson; and his sisters, Juliann Wolfson and Gloria Jackson.
He is survived by: his sons, Lyle Eric Jackson of Waukon and Joseph Earl Francis Jackson (Sarah) of Waukon; his stepdaughter Jennifer Ira (Jeff) of New Hampton, IA; his grandchildren, Tucker and Taylor Jackson; his stepgrandchildren, Leslie and Kathryn Ira; his siblings, Lyle Francis Jackson (Phyllis) of West Union, IA, Darla Anderson (David) of Pella, IA and Dean Jackson (Mary) of Waukon; his brothers-in-law, Elliott Wolfson of Waukon and Steve Johnson (Deb) of Waterloo, IA; and his close friend Rose Magner of Waukon.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests memorials be made out to the Gary Jackson memorial fund; all memorials will be given to the Allamakee County 4H beef show.
