Gary Gilbertson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2025, Gary Gilbertson of Waukon, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Gilbertson and Donna Gilbertson (Campbell); his parents-in-law, John and Connie Howes; and his in-laws, Shirley, Jude Hermsen, Jim Howes and Dave Aswegan.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Marie Howes; his children, Amy Gilbertson (Mark Jackson) of San Marcos, TX, Jessie Krause (Adam) of McCallsburg, IA and Nick Gilbertson (Luke Peterson) of Boone, IA.; his grandchildren, Nora, Mia and Henry Krause; his siblings, Greg Gilbertson (Sue), Becky Quijano (Don) and Kim Amos (Jerome); and his in-laws, Bill Hancock (Carol), Betty Ryan, Ann Byrnes (Charlie), John Hancock (Lila), Lindy Howes and Mary Plotz (Kevin). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (109 2nd St SW, Waukon, IA 52172). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
