It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Gene Gress of Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Edward Sr. and Laura Mae Gress (Hamann); his wife Dorothy Ann Johnson; his sons, Monte Gress and Steve Topel; his siblings, Ardith Waters and Raymond Gress, Jr.; and his stepfather Lloyd "Tim" Duvel.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Gress of Onalaska, WI, Nancy Smith (Joey) of Owensboro, KY, Tim Gress of Waukon, Troy Gress (Michelle) of Waukon, Lori Cahoon (Blair) of Waukon, Cindy Topel of Monona, IA and Tom Topel of Winona, MN; his grandchildren, Katie, Brody, Mason, Brennan, Ali, Chris Gress, Connor, Caden, Cooper Cahoon, Dustin Lewey (Erika), Karrie Stallings (Austin), Zeke, Jeffery and Nate Smith; his great grandchildren, Jese Lewey, Zander and EmmaGene Stallings; his brothers, Dean Gress (Carol) of McGregor, IA and Jim Duvel (JoAnn) of Postville, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Susie Gress of Blue Springs, MO and Don Waters of Waukon.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
