He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeb Peterson and Mora Peterson; his son Kevin Haas; his siblings, Violet Kingsbury and Charles Haas; his siblings-in-law, Janice Scheffert, Joyce Haas, Carl Kessel and Richard Bloxham; and his nephews, Jeffrey Houg and Steven Scheffert.
He is survived by: his daughter Shari Peterson (Charles) of La Crosse, WI; his daughter-in-law Pam Haas of Caledonia, MN.; his grandchildren, Zebediah Peterson (Mora) of Boquete, Katrina Clarke (Ian) of Tinley Park, IL, Jacob Peterson, Natalie Peterson of La Crosse, WI, Cartrite and Callahan Haas of Caledonia, MN.; his great grandchild Aziel Peterson; and his siblings, Rose Kessel, Edith Bloxham, Elaine Doyle, Doug Haas and Floyd Mount.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, the Good Samaritan Home in Waukon, the Alzheimer's Association, and the ALS Foundation.
