It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Franks of Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Duane Franks to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Franks and Rosie Franks (Jacobsen); and his sisters, Elaine Davis, Delonace Franks and Sharon Franks.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Franks of Waukon; his daughter Crystal Gassman (Andy) of Big Lake, MN; his grandchildren, Tayla and Jackson Gassman; his siblings, Karen Messler (Wayne) of Boone, IA, Linda Franks of Oelwein and Garrieth Franks (Jan) of Oelwein; and his brother-in-law Gordon Davis of Fayette, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion United Church of Christ (113 1st St NE, Waukon, IA 52172). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
