With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Gelo of Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on March 10, 2023 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Barr and Violet Barr (Krousie); her boyfriend Walter James Gelo; her daughter Linda Johnson (Dwayne); her grandson Rhett Gelo; her sister Norma Hanson (Leonard); and her daughter-in-law Connie Gelo.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Gelo (JoAnn) of Waukon, Jim Gelo (Cathy) of Postville, Gordon Gelo (Jennifer) of Duluth, MN, Shelby Erickson (Edwin) of Apple Valley, MN, Dawn Roney (Dale) of Waukon and Kristie Roeder (Paul) of Waukon; and her close friends, Larry and Vickie Folkers. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
