We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2024, at the age of 85, Chester Schlake of Waukon, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor John and Viola Mae Schlake (Noack); his siblings, Ronald Victor Schlacke (Alice) and Janann Kay Miene (Everett); his sister-in-law Mabel Ione Stahl; and his parents-in-law, Charlie and Geraldine Rouster.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene of Waukon; his children, Darcy Ann Esser (John) of Eitzen, MN and Darwin Chester Schlake (Sharon) of Waukon; his grandchildren, Brittany Renae Schlake (Braylee), Taylor Marie Schulte (Luke), Mason Chester Schlake (Marissa), Alexander John Esser (Katie) and Austin James Esser (Abbey Hammell); his great grandchildren, Gabriel Luke, Greyson Darwin Schulte, Hazel Grace, Haven Josephine and Willow June Schlake; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Ann Conway of Waukon and Allen Stahl of Lansing. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
