It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlton Christianson of Waukon, Iowa, born in Waterville, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingvold Christianson and Isabelle Christianson (Hanson); his daughter Robyn Joy; his wife Sonya; his great grandchildren, Mikaela Collins, Leavy Simaj-Christianson and Abel Ludeking; and his brothers-in-law, Calvin Bechtel and Linus Liddle.
He is survived by: his sisters, Betty Bechtel of Waukon and Ann Liddle of Alexandria, VA; his children, Jeffrey Christianson (Pam) of Waukon, Jerry Christianson (Becky) of Postville and Paula Decker (Steve) of Waukon; his grandchildren, Rennae Collins (Cody Stoen) of Spring Grove, MN, Nathon Collins of Dorchester, Ashley Alverez (Alfonzo) of Postville, Brandon Christianson of Postville, Zachery Decker (Kara) of Waukon, Sonya Ludeking (Randi Cooper) of Prairie and Ethan Decker (Jessica) of Waukon; his great grandchildren, Ayden, Gunnar, Halsten Collins of Spring Grove, MN, William, Alixander, Saul, Mia Alverez of Postville, Avery Ludeking of Prairie, Kinsley, Reid Decker of Waukon, Briley Jo, Brystal, Brantley Decker of Henryetta, OK, Jason, Zane and Aubree Decker of Waukon; his niece Corene Bechtel Peck of Waukon; and his nephew Robert Bechtel (Cindy) of Decorah.
