He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmet Jones and Bernadine Jones; his brother Dennis Jones; his grandparents, Irving, Rita Hartong, Leo and Ruth Jones; and his brother-in-law Marvin Cunningham.
He is survived by: his siblings, Debra McGeough (Pat) of Waukon, Mary Kelly (Tim) of Waukon, Rodney Jones (Rita) of Strawberry Point, IA, Diane Cunningham of Rosebud, TX, Ellen Krousie (Kevin) of Waukon, Paula Goeke (Roger) of Rosebud, TX and Wanda Schellsmidt (Pat) of Waukon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Robey Memorial Library, Veterans Memorial Hospital, or the Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church kitchen fund.
54 years ago, on August 1, 1968, when Bruce was born, a Down's Syndrome child was considered a family tragedy – that a child should remain a child for life.
