He was predeceased by: his parents, William Morgan and Mary Clair (Mulroy); and his siblings, Mary Colleen Cole and Tom Clair. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Kay McDermott; his sons, Christopher William Clair and Jeremy Michael Clair; his grandsons, Will and William Michael Clair; his siblings, Anne Hetelle (Mark) of Ottawa, IL, Dan Clair (Cindy) of Irving, TX, Mike Clair (Kathy) of Goodyear, AZ, John Clair (Cathy) of Glendale, AZ, June Lavender (Jeff) of La Vernia, TX and Brian Clair (Julia) of Anamosa, IA; his siblings-in-law, Dave Cole and Mary Clair; his sister Joan; and his brother-in-law Scott Power of Burlington, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Veterans Memorial Hospital, both in Waukon.
