She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Henning and Emma Henning (Grotegut); her son-in-law Tom McCabe; and her siblings, Lorraine Koenig (Harlen), Gertrude Hagen (Robert), Reuben (Charlotte), Lawrence (Alice), Irvin (Norma) and Calvin Henning (June).
She is survived by: her husband Virgil Opfer of Waukon; her children, Jeanie Potter of Canton, GA, Deborah McCabe of Waukon, John Opfer (Jenny) of Waukon and Doug Opfer (Tracy) of Tallulah Falls, GA; and her brother Robert Henning (Dorothy) of Ossian, IA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
