Ann-Elise Bakkum Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ann-Elise Bakkum of Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on August 11, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sigurd Hagen and Georgine Hagen (Normann); her husband Orville; her daughter DiAnn Bakkum; her great grandchild Orrin Avery Schuster; her siblings, Margareth Wiig, Sigurd Hagen and Sonja Westerboten; her sister-in-law Eleanor (Otto Thorstenson); and her parents-in-law, Arnold and Irene Bakkum.
She is survived by: her children, Allan Bakkum (Beverly) of Decorah, IA and Carol Brown (Richard) of Nevada, IA; and her grandchildren, Michelle Shaw (Robert), Eric, Paul, Alisha Bakkum, Sarah Greene (Matt), David Vowell (Robin), Rebecca Schuster, Tasha Evola (Joe) and Trevor Brown (Briah). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of plants and flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Old West Paint Creek Lutheran Church, Good Samaritan Society, Veterans Memorial Hospital, all in Waukon, or to a hospice of your choice.
