He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Mae Snitker (Weipert); his stepdaughter Constance Snitker; his siblings, Mildred Bechtel (Harold), Joseph Olsen (Arlene), Elmer Olsen (Charlette), Floyd Olsen (Judy) and Harvey Olsen; and his brother-in-law Gene Thorpe.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Wayne Snitker (Hui Suk) of Tennessee and Carrie Stilwell (Martin) of Florida; his stepgrandchildren, Linda, Jason Snitker, Rachel, Philip and John Bush; his siblings, Eleanor Thorpe of Cedar Rapids, IA, Leroy Olsen (Shirley) of Marshalltown, IA and Jim Olsen (Jan) of Lowden, IA; and his sister-in-law Charlette Olsen of Cedar Rapids, IA..
