He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert R. Vokes and Mary Lou Noonan (Ballentine); and his stepfather Charles Noonan. He is survived by: his son Matthew Vokes (Martha) of Columbia, SC; his grandson Alex Vokes of Columbia, SC; his stepgrandchildren, Whitney Creamer, Kayden Niman, Christopher Anderson, Abigail, Logan and Jackson Creamer; his siblings, Larry Vokes (Carol) of Adel, Cheri Bauer (Michael), Cindy Vokes of Waukee and Tammy Hansen (Kurt) of Clive; his stepmother Donna Vokes; and his stepsiblings, Rhonda Kanealy (Kevin) and Robert Ramsey.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be used towards a yet to be determined Animal Rescue Group.
