He was predeceased by: his parents, Glendon Jakobitz and Margaret Jakobitz (Fischer); his brother Roger Jakobitz; and his siblings-in-law, George Geltle, Roger Horstmann, Keith Muenchow and Geraldine Schwarze.
He is survived by: his close friend Mel Schwartz; his son Doug; his wife Gail Jakobitz (Geltle); his children, Lisa Ross (Bill), Lorie Wosmek (Chad) and Douglas Jakobitz (Stephanie Anderson); his grandchildren, Jonathon Diepold, Candace Bielke, Sierra Becker (Mike), Nathaniel, Gavin Wosmek, Kyra, Zack, Maelyn Jakobitz and Kyler Anderson; his great grandchildren, Kaiden Deraad (Sierra), Savannah Becker (Sierra) and Brynlee Diepold (Jonathon); and his siblings, Ross Jakobitz (Paula) and Helen Young. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
