She was predeceased by: her father Lyle Mackey; her mother-in-law Diane Boyd; and her brother-in-law Jerry Scholl. She is survived by: her mother Lorraine Mackey (Freilinger) of Mason City; her husband Gary Scholl of Waukee; her stepson Connor Scholl; her siblings, Christine Althoff (Mark), Douglas Mackey (Sharon), Susan Henry (Joseph), Jill Campbell (David), Ann Weiss (Thomas), Carey Nisi (David) and Katie Schuessler (Arian); her fathers-in-law, John Scholl (Hazel) and Mick Boyd; her sisters-in-law, Toni Attebery (Lonny) and Kris Barrett; and her nephews, Mac and Marty.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family and a nursing scholarship will be established at Unity Point.
