She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Plaatje and Violet Plaatje (Cederholm); her husband Edward Betzold; her children, Robert Betzold, Christopher Betzold and Irene Betzold; and her sister Audrey.
She is survived by: her children, William Betzold of Indianola, IA, Barry Betzold (Julie) of Scottsdale, AZ, Susan Wright (Greg) of Indianola, IA, Ginger Gale (Randy) of Urbandale, IA, Edie Davis (Jim) of Urbandale, IA, Edward Betzold of Urbandale, IA, Patrick Betzold (Debbie) of Bull Shoals, AR and Kathy Fortune (Russ) of Grimes, IA. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 67 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; as well as four nieces.
