With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene Ann Tobey of Waukee, Iowa, who passed away on October 19, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Borchert and Viola Borchert (Westfahl). She is survived by: her husband Richard Tobey; her children, Erin Nelson (Erik) of Marion, IA, Josh Tobey (Heather) of Cumming, IA and Nate Tobey (Hilary) of Ankeny, IA; her grandchildren, Elena, Jack, Landry, Violet, Sage and Wes; her sisters, Deb Massey (Steve) of Sauk Centre, MN and Diane Boelter (Elroy) of Mankato, MN; her siblings-in-law, May Borchert of Waseca, MN and Rudy Scheibel of Forest City, IA; her siblings, Donna Boelter and Roger Borchert; her nephew Jeff Boelter; and her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Scheibel and Ada Hill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Schott Funeral Home (505 N Clark St, Forest City, IA 50436). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
