He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Alleman and Ida Alleman (Lehman); and his wife JoAnn Porter (Jo). He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Alleman (Tim Flowers) and Teri Sommerlot (Dave) of Ankeny; his brother-in-law David Porter (Judy) of Altoona; his granddaughters, Katy Fukuda (Masaki) of Ankeny, Liv Sommerlot of Berlin and Carly Sommerlot of Singapore; and his great grandchild Sophie Fukuda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of Hope Ankeny.
