He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Breitbach, (Rettenmeyer) and Alfred Peter Breitbach, Sr.; his wife Rita Kutsch of Mary's Catholic Church; and his daughter Christine. He is survived by: his children, Alecia Leggitt (Gene) of Phoenix, AZ, Jerry Breitbach (Sally) of Johnston, IA, Connie Maahs (Dan) of Clive, IA, DJ Breitbach (Kim) of Pleasant Hill, MO and Paul Breitbach (Katie) of Iowa City, IA.; and his brother-in-law Charlie Kutsch. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Basilica of St. John, in Des Moines.
