He is survived by: his children, Robert Swehla (Dusty) of Marion, Deborah Swehla of Des Moines and Matthew Swehla (Elon) of Palo; his stepchildren, Charlene Costello of Marion and Charles Costello of Cedar Rapids; and his brother David Swehla of California. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren.
