He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Jones (Don) and Katheryn Jones (Kay); and his grandsons, Jayson Jones and Shawn Mixdorf. He is survived by: his daughters, Erin Brunston (Clarence) of Fordyce, AR, Katie Mixdorf (Phillip) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Amanda Jones of Watkins, IA; his siblings, Russell Jones of Chester, IA, Sandy Good (Tim) of Canton, MN and Wendy Richardson (Jim) of Canton, MN; his niece Sara Burke; and his nephew Evan Richardson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
