He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Connie Huedepohl. He is survived by: his mother Eileen Brecht (LaTour) of Watkins; his wife Shelly Huedepohl; his children, Tanner (Nicole) of Watkins and Kelsey Brecht of Cedar Rapids; his father Ed Brecht; his sister Theresa Werner of Cedar Rapids; his father-in-law Dennis Huedepohl of Williamsburg; and his siblings-in-law, Scott Huedepohl (Andrea), Jeff Huedepohl (Gretchen) and Kristin Ward (Andrew). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Blairstown EMS or St. Patrick's or St. Michael's parishes.
