It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne Schmieden of Waterville, Iowa, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Wayne leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Wayne may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Schmieden and Violet Schmieden (Anderson). He is survived by: his wife Lil; and his stepchildren, Vickie Winke (Ken), Connie Fleisher (Mark) and Scott Westerholm. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Martin-Grau Funeral Home & Cremation Service (202 Allamakee St NW, Waukon, IA 52172). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the King of Grace Lutheran Church (635 9th St NW, Waukon, IA 52172).
